Summer in the Rauris Valley
As winter melts away, Rauris takes on a whole new look with lush fields and sweeping green valleys dominating the view from the balcony. Hiking, cycling, paragliding and tandem flights are just some of the activities on offer on the mountain. Alternatively, for those who wish to keep their feet firmly on the ground, the Kitzlochklamm gorge walk is just one hour away and the world’s largest ice caves are within driving distance.
Hiking - 295km of clearly-marked hiking paths cut across the mountains and through the “Rauriser Urwald”, a primal forest dotted with 80 secluded lakes.
Cycling - Rauris is linked to the Pinzgau Mountain Biking network, which offers 750km of spectacular cycle trails. Cycle rental is conveniently available in the village.
Swimming - Why not visit the outdoor lido in Rauris? Set on a sunny plateau the Sonnblickbad offers relaxation for the whole family with a pool heated to 24 °C
